Membership
Membership in the Grain and Feed Association of Illinois (GFAI) is an essential tool if you are involved in the grain handling and feed industries in Illinois. The Association traces its roots back to 1893 when a group of privately held companies joined efforts to form the Illinois Grain Dealers Association. Since that time there have been three other associations that merged in 1971 to become the Grain and Feed Association of Illinois.
GFAI represents more than 90% of the commercial grain storage space in the state of Illinois where members include grain elevators and grain handling facilities, processors, feed mills and companies who provide goods and services to the industry.
Most importantly, the Grain and Feed Association of Illinois is an organization where members can carry more weight as one collective voice rather than each company acting alone. The Grain and Feed Association of Illinois is a hub of news, networking opportunities, information and resources. We actively work with regulatory offices, organizations and associations affiliated with the industry to keep members engaged in industry discussions, activities and opportunities to help members be more profitable.
