GFAI Industry Action Groups: Focus on various issues or topics affecting the industry and will interact primarily via e-mail or conference call.
- Annual Convention and Trade Show - meets twice a year to discuss and plan the Annual Convention and Trade Show including recommendations for location, speakers, format and educational sessions.
- Scholarship - meets twice a year to develop and grow the scholarship program by reviewing and selecting scholarship recipients, promoting fundraising opportunities and recommending tours and speakers for the Industry Immersion Tour.
- Workforce Development - meets once or twice a year to determine educational programming content and speakers to train, educate and engage our members currently working in the grain and feed industry.

- Facility Operations - Focus on security, energy, maintenance, and property management
- Feed - Regulatory issues related to the manufacturing and distribution of commercial feed
- Grain Grades and Quality - Watch over issues connected to grain grades and quality
- Illinois Grain Code - Focus on the Illinois Grain Code and Illinois Grain Insurance Fund statutes and the regulations related to implementation of those laws
- Legislative - Review and discuss state and federal legislation
- Safety and OSHA - Monitor and discuss safety issues and changes to OSHA standards
- Transportation - Analyze transportation issues of all types
